Sun Stories
Project Overview
The brief
Sun Stories, a material-led design studio working between London and Accra, came to us to define their brand in the high-end interiors space.
Founded by Kobe Darko, the brand crafts and curates bespoke West African pottery, sculptural ceramics, and heritage artifacts for design-conscious collectors across Europe. Operating in a luxury homeware sector that often leans on generic minimalism or surface-level cultural motifs, they needed a sophisticated identity that honoured the deep provenance, tactile materiality, and inherited craft techniques behind every single piece.
The process
We built a refined, intentional visual system designed to frame the artisan craft rather than distract from it. Striking a delicate balance between contemporary minimalism and organic warmth, we selected tactile typography, generous spatial layouts, and a grounded colour palette that echoes raw clay, silt, and terracotta.
Rather than relying on heavy-handed visual clichés, we let storytelling and authentic material texture lead. Creating a flexible brand system that seamlessly spans hand-stamped packaging, editorial print, and an immersive digital storefront.
The results
A quiet, commanding brand identity that positions Sun Stories as a true benchmark in contemporary luxury homeware.
By giving high-provenance West African craftsmanship a modern, globally relevant stage, the new identity builds immediate authority with international interior designers, trade partners, and collectors. Providing a scalable framework for future collections and market expansion.
